Principal's Message

Dear La Joya Middle School Parents and Guardians,

I wanted to reach out as the start of the 2025-26 school year is quickly approaching and introduce myself. My name is Dr. Andrew Bishop, and I am proud to be the Principal of La Joya Middle School for the 2025-26 school year. The La Joya Middle School team of teachers and staff are truly a talented, caring, and committed group of individuals who work hard to ensure our students are ready for success.

Here are some key dates:

• Thursday, August 7th

7th Grade Orientation 8:30 am-12:30 pm at La Joya MS (Flyer to Come)

• Friday, August 8th

8th Grade Schedule Pick Up in front of school 8:00 am-11:00 am

• Thursday, August 14th

First Day of School.

• Monday, August 25th

Fall Sports Tryouts – after school (Cross Country, Flag Football, Volleyball)

• Thursday, August 28th

Back to School Night, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This school year students will have access to Chromebooks through their teachers’ Chromebook carts. For both 7th grade orientation and 8th grade schedule pickup, please have students bring their Chromebooks to return them. All students will be expected to return their Chromebooks during the first two days of school. Chromebooks may still be checked out from the library for home use as needed.
